What is a Professional Organizer?
There are a few terms used to describe what we do – Personal Organizer, Professional Organizer, Private Organizer – we organize for a living! While there is no qualification for this profession, there is a lot of information and education available. Three Pines has been trained through the Professional Organizers in Canada, a great organization that offers accountability, resources and education for organizers.
What do you charge?
I offer organizing services at competitive rates and work with clients on a variety of budgets. Contact me for a free quote!
Do I have to work with you or do you work by yourself?
Organizing is unlike other in-home services that don’t require your presence. We want to make sure that the system we develop is tailor-made for you. This means we need your input! While we do the heavy lifting, the process is very cooperative. Once we have sorted together, you can leave the organizing to us! We love creating unique systems for each individual need.
What can we accomplish in a couple hours?
Here are a few examples of how long certain spaces can take (this can vary depending on amount of items to be sorted and size of space).
Kitchen pantry: 4 hours
Linen closet: 2 hours
Small Bathroom: 1-2 hours
Play Spaces: 3-4 hours
Basement & Large Storage: 5-7 hours, space and volume dependent
Garage: 1-2 full days with 2 organizers
I don’t know where to get the best products for organizing. Can you help?
Absolutely! In Canada, there is no one-stop-shop for organizing products. There are a variety of places I shop, depending on the project & clients’ budgets. I offer personal shopping & returns for all clients for a low, flat rate. If clients prefer to shop for themselves, I create detailed lists & suggestions for each project.
Do you work alone?
I love collaborating with other professionals! I work regularly with local professional organizers for larger projects and clients with time constraints. Hiring more than one organizer is a worthwhile investment. Projects that appear to be overwhelming to clients, can be sorted through quickly with our experience & expertise. Leave the challenge to us!
What does your name mean?
Three Pines came after a lot of thought about why I do what I do. The “three” comes originally from my three children. They are the reason that I have been able to create so many functional systems in small spaces. The “pines” refers to where we live, in the Great White North.
